While no other state in the country with a smaller population than Wyoming, it hasn't diminished an impressive history of high school sports.
The state has produced several professional athletes, like baseball legend Ken Sailors, Olympians Tommy Moe and Jaelin Kauf, MLB veteran Brandon Nimmo, and longtime NFL player Brett Keisel.
And with each tale of greatness, there has been a high school setting the stage and becoming just as integral to the story as the athletes.
With that in mind, which Wyoming high schools are considered the best for athletes in 2026?

According to one study conducted by Niche, which accounts for survey feedback from students and parents—accounting for "reviews of athletics, number of state championships, student participation in athletics, and the number of sports offered at the school"—and data from the U.S. Department of Education, these are the top 25.
